Turkish Airlines has launched a new promotional campaign for Umrah travellers departing from the United States, offering round-trip fares from USD 799 for bookings made between 1 July and 16 August 2026. The special fares apply to eligible travel between 1 September and 19 November 2026 and are designed to make pilgrimage travel to Saudi Arabia more accessible.
The campaign combines competitive pricing with the airline’s extensive route network, allowing passengers to connect through Istanbul Airport before arriving in Medina and returning from Jeddah. The offer is available from all 14 US gateways served by Turkish Airlines, giving travellers greater flexibility when planning their pilgrimage.
Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries than any other airline, said the campaign reflects its commitment to serving religious travellers while making use of its global network and hub in Istanbul. By offering open-jaw itineraries that allow arrival in Medina and departure from Jeddah, the airline aims to simplify the journey for pilgrims visiting Islam’s two holiest cities.
The airline’s schedule from the United States provides convenient connections through Istanbul to destinations across Saudi Arabia. The routing gives travellers a choice of departure points across the US while maintaining a single airline itinerary throughout the journey.
Additional services for Umrah travellers
As part of the campaign, Turkish Airlines is also providing a specially designed amenity kit created for Umrah passengers. The kit converts into a backpack and contains practical items intended to support travellers during their pilgrimage.
The airline said the initiative forms part of its wider effort to enhance the travel experience for passengers undertaking one of Islam’s most significant religious journeys. The customised travel kit complements the airline’s onboard services and reflects its focus on offering products tailored to specific passenger needs.
Eligible travellers may also benefit from two of the airline’s well-established transit programmes in Istanbul. Passengers with layovers of more than 20 hours may qualify for complimentary hotel accommodation through the Stopover in Istanbul programme, subject to eligibility requirements.
Those connecting for between 6 and 24 hours can instead take advantage of Touristanbul, which offers complimentary guided city tours showcasing Istanbul’s historic landmarks, cultural attractions and famous neighbourhoods before continuing their journey.
Growing demand for pilgrimage travel
Umrah travel continues throughout the year and attracts millions of Muslims from around the world outside the annual Hajj pilgrimage season. Airlines have increasingly expanded dedicated products and promotional fares as demand for religious tourism continues to grow across international markets.
Turkish Airlines has positioned its Istanbul hub as an important gateway between North America and the Middle East, allowing passengers to connect to an extensive network of destinations with a single stop. The airline’s combination of flexible itineraries, transit programmes and dedicated Umrah services is intended to strengthen its appeal among US-based pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia.
Travellers interested in the promotion can find booking details and full fare conditions on the Turkish Airlines website. The airline noted that campaign prices are valid on eligible itineraries booked during the promotional period and that fares displayed on its website may differ from prices offered through travel agencies or ticket offices.
