Nuremberg Airport Duty Free

Nuremberg Airport to Unveil “All Yours” Shop

Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg is set to elevate its passenger experience by introducing the innovative “all yours” retail concept next year. Developed by smartseller, “all yours” seamlessly integrates duty-free shopping, food service, and convenience into one cohesive unit.

The revamped space at Nuremberg will span a generous 1,200 square meters, combining various elements into an open, integrated design. A standout feature will be the shop’s deep-rooted connection to Nuremberg and the Franconia region. This regional bond will be prominently showcased in the diverse food and drink offerings available to travelers.

To bring this unique retail space to life, smartseller and Airport Nürnberg have established a joint venture. Both entities will equally share ownership, with the agreement set to commence on January 1, 2024, pending approval from antitrust authorities.

Currently, the Duty Free & Travel Value shops are under the airport’s direct management. The newly formed company, named smartseller nürnberg GmbH & Co. KG, will be led by Sebastian Schäfer, the present manager of the airport’s in-house shops. Representing the company will be Klaus Dotzauer, Commercial Director of Flughafen Nürnberg GmbH and Managing Director of the airport subsidiary Flughafen Nürnberg Service GmbH, alongside Karl Niendorf, Managing Director of smartseller.

Smartseller, born from a collaboration between Gebr. Heinemann and the travel food service chain casualfood in 2020, specializes in enhancing the retail experience at regional airports. By merging travel retail, food & beverage, and convenience, smartseller has successfully launched its “all yours” shops in locations like Ljubljana, Münster/Osnabrück, and Leipzig/Halle. Nuremberg is poised to be the fourth airport to benefit from this unique retail concept.

Karl Niendorf, speaking about the partnership, emphasized smartseller’s commitment to fostering long-term, trustful collaborations. He stated, “smartseller is the ideal partner for medium-sized airports. We’re always ready to co-create tailored solutions, and this venture is a testament to that commitment.”

Klaus Dotzauer of Airport Nürnberg echoed this sentiment, expressing excitement about the enhanced shopping experience for travelers. He said, “The renovation and integrated concept will present a more diverse product range in an existing space. Together with smartseller, we aim to continually elevate the shopping and travel experience for our passengers.”
