Spain wins first Women's World Cup in Sydney

Qatar Airways and FIFA Celebrate the Success of FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023

Qatar Airways, in partnership with FIFA, recently celebrated the successful completion of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™.

The grand finale, which saw Spain narrowly clinch victory against England with a 1-0 scoreline, took place in Sydney on 20 August. Meanwhile, Sweden secured third place the day before. Highlighting the occasion with a touch of class, Qatar Airways’ cabin crew were entrusted with presenting the treasured gold, silver, and bronze medals to the top teams.

This grand event was more than just matches. Reflecting its commitment to bring the euphoria of the tournament closer to its fans, Qatar Airways displayed the esteemed FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Winner’s Trophy in Sydney. Fans reveled in the chance to see the trophy up close, a testament to the skill and spirit of the competing athletes and emblematic of Qatar Airways’ dedication to bridging people through the medium of sports.
