As the motorsport world eagerly anticipates the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023, Qatar Airways, the Official Global Airline Partner of F1® and the Title Sponsor of the Qatar Grand Prix, is set to host the event at the state-of-the-art Lusail International Circuit from 6-8 October.
The event promises to be a blend of high-speed racing and rich Arabian culture, drawing motorsport enthusiasts from around the world.
Ahead of the Grand Prix, Formula 1® made a grand entrance at Hamad International Airport, the home and hub of their Global Airline Partner, Qatar Airways. In a move that sent waves of excitement through fans, Qatar Airways unveiled its Boeing 777 aircraft adorned with the vibrant livery of F1®.
His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023 has been a highly anticipated event since our partnership with F1® was announced earlier this year. This Grand Prix not only adds to Qatar’s rich sporting legacy but also epitomizes the excellence and excitement that Qatar Airways delivers to its global passengers. In a special nod to the F1® decal livery and the airline’s collaboration with Formula 1 and the BWT Alpine F1 Team, a unique photo opportunity was organized at the Hamad International Airport hangar. This event showcased the F1® branded aircraft alongside an F1® show car. Among the attendees were notable figures such as His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth; Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport; Stefano Domenicali, F1® CEO and President; Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Latif Al Mannai, President of Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF); and BWT Alpine F1 Team drivers, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
