Accor Announces First Swissôtel in Kyrgyzstan

In a move to bolster its presence in Central Asia, Accor, a global leader in hospitality, has inked a cooperation agreement with SK Development.

This partnership aims to introduce the first Swissôtel in Kyrgyzstan, strategically situated on the shores of the breathtaking Issyk-Kul Lake, one of Central Asia’s largest lakes.

The upcoming 5-star Swissôtel promises to blend Swiss hospitality’s hallmark precision with impeccable service and a contemporary design ethos. Guests can anticipate unparalleled recreational and wellness experiences, enhanced by the serene backdrop of the Issyk-Kul Lake.

Alexis Delaroff, Chief Operating Officer of Accor New East Europe, expressed his enthusiasm about the venture, emphasizing Accor’s commitment to fortifying its dominant position in the region. He remarked, “Issyk-Kul Lake, with its therapeutic microclimate and the mesmerizing allure of a high-altitude mountain lake, has been drawing increasing numbers of tourists. The Swissôtel, we believe, will emerge as a sought-after destination for both locals and global tourists. Our collaboration with SK Development is pivotal, and we eagerly await the fruition of this endeavor.”

Strategically located near the Kosh-Kol village on Issyk-Kul Lake’s northern shore, the Swissôtel will be part of Kyrgyzstan’s premier international golf resort. This expansive year-round resort, spanning 105 hectares, boasts an 18-hole golf course, a state-of-the-art Golf Academy, and a plethora of amenities. Golf enthusiasts can expect a challenging terrain, designed to captivate even seasoned players.

Conveniently positioned, the Swissôtel is a mere 14-minute drive from the Issyk-Kul International Airport and approximately 222 km from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital city.

The luxurious hotel will house 110 meticulously designed rooms and apartments, adhering to Swissôtel’s brand standards. Guests can indulge in a range of amenities, including a spa, a modern fitness center, a gourmet restaurant, and a spacious congress hall suitable for diverse events. Moreover, the hotel’s proximity to the lake ensures guests have effortless access to a well-maintained sandy beach.

Alexey Konev, General Director of SK Development, shared his optimism about the collaboration, stating, “Our aim is to seamlessly integrate local hospitality traditions with cutting-edge advancements in the hotel sector. We’re dedicated to elevating service standards in the region, and we’re confident that the Swissôtel on Issyk-Kul Lake will captivate guests from across the globe.”

Travel enthusiasts and luxury seekers can look forward to the grand opening of the Swissôtel on Issyk-Kul Lake in 2026.
