PPDS Advances Sustainability with New Philips 4650 D-Line 4K Displays

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips professional displays, has announced the next phase in its sustainability strategy with the release of the new Philips Signage 4650 D-Line Series of 4K displays.

Designed to serve the hospitality industry, the new series combines cutting-edge technology with environmentally responsible features.

Available in eight different sizes—ranging from 32″ to 98″—the Philips 4650 Series promises an exceptional 4K display experience, making it ideal for 24/7 usage in a variety of hospitality settings. The series includes innovative Advanced Super Dimension Switch (ADS) wide-view technology for smoother content transitions, remarkable image accuracy, and wide-angle viewing. It even allows for bezel-free 2×2 videowall displays, particularly useful in bar areas.

This series is the first in PPDS’s portfolio to adopt the company’s ‘dual architecture’ modular design. Robert Hsu, VP Global Product Strategy at PPDS, explained, “The new modular design provides incredible opportunities for businesses to maximize their investments while helping to reduce their footprint on the planet.”

The 4650 D-Line Series comes with PPDS Wave, a cloud-based remote display management ecosystem. Wave allows users unparalleled control over a fleet of displays, enabling functionalities such as firmware upgrades, playlist management, and setting power schedules.

This series also boasts significant technical updates. It operates on Android 11, comes with double the internal storage, and includes advanced features such as PPDS’ highly acclaimed ‘FailOver’ technology. Connectivity options have been updated to include Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and 4G connectivity via a standard module for models 43″ and above.

Bart Wouters, International Product Manager, Professional Displays at PPDS, summed it up: “With the new Philips Signage 4650 Series, we have made the best even better. This is not just a product update; it symbolizes our commitment to sustainability and to our customers.”

The new Philips Signage 4650 D-Line Series will be available for purchase from September, with demonstrations available through PPDS Studios located across multiple continents.
