France has lifted the face mask mandate against the COVID-19 outbreak in public transport as of Monday, May 16.
Due to the decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the mask mandate in public transport has been lifted, said officials of the country’s health ministry.
However, the authorities said a health pass proving vaccination status and a face mask are still required for entering hospitals.
People who test positive for COVID-19 will also continue to self-isolate for at least seven days.
