Effective April 1, 2022, proof of either a negative COVID-19 antigen test or negative RT-PCR test is required for all inbound international travelers to Nevis arriving by air.
This replaces the previous requirement in which only the results of RT-PCR tests were acceptable. Antigen tests must be taken within 24 hours of arrival; while RT-PCR tests must be taken within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Travelers’ choice of test must be administered by an accredited lab using a nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab. The results of self-administered tests or tests using saliva samples are not currently approved for entry.
“This modification could not come at a better time for our incoming international guests,” said Devon Liburd, Nevis Tourism Authority interim CEO.
“Spring is a good time of year to experience Nevis. It is our driest season with temperatures in the mid-80s. Because of this, we look to these newly increased options in entry protocol to serve as a warm welcome to our petite island paradise.”
