ROOMS, a prominent Georgian hospitality group and a member of Design Hotels, has recently announced the grand opening of their latest venture, ROOMS Batumi.
This marks the fourth addition to their growing portfolio of properties, following successful launches in Tbilisi, Kazbegi, and Bakuriani. Nestled in the historic quarter of Batumi, a Black Sea coastal city celebrated as one of UNESCO’s Creative Cities, ROOMS Batumi is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
The hotel’s conception is the brainchild of Temur Ugulava, the group’s founder, who, along with Collective Development and Rooms Studio, has crafted a space that epitomizes the unique character of Batumi. ROOMS Batumi isn’t just a hotel; it’s a testament to the seamless integration of serene seaside charm with modern design. The hotel boasts 120 rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, a restaurant, a diner, and meeting spaces, catering to a diverse clientele including leisure and business travelers, as well as design-savvy families.
ROOMS Batumi aspires to be more than just a place to stay; it aims to become a distinguished social and cultural hub in the city. It incorporates Japanese, European, and Californian influences to offer a refreshing seaside experience, contributing a unique flair to the city’s vibrant culture. The hotel’s dining experience is a culinary journey, with the “Rubber Duck” diner offering a fusion of Georgian gastronomy and global flavors, centered around locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The Lobby Bar presents handcrafted cocktails, and in 2024, ROOMS Batumi will unveil “The Kitchen”, a rooftop eatery and bar.
The hotel’s design is a visual feast, featuring wood-covered walls, ceilings, and round beds in each of the 120 rooms and suites. The muted color palette emphasizes the natural beauty of the coastal surroundings, while the use of natural materials underlines the hotel’s commitment to an elevated design ethos.
Valeri Chekheria, CEO of ROOMS, remarks, “Every ROOMS hotel is unique, designed to fit in with its surroundings and the local culture. ROOMS Batumi is a next level for ROOMS, where different styles and influences come together to give the historic seaside city a fresh and vibrant feel.”
Strategically located with views of both the bustling Batumi seaport and the historic old city, ROOMS Batumi offers guests a 360-degree panoramic view of the seaside and Old Batumi, a city dating back to the 15th century. ROOMS Batumi isn’t just a hotel; it’s a lifestyle, an ecosystem that welcomes all guests, symbolizing a new chapter in Georgian hospitality.
ROOMS Batumi is located at 10 Gogebashvili St. Batumi, 6010, Georgia. Room rates begin at €85 + VAT (18%) per night.
