Canopy by Hilton Ushers in a New Era of Luxury in Cannes

Amidst an annual calendar teeming with international events and festivals, Hilton’s lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton brings its elevated, boutique hotel experience to Cannes’ most sought-after neighborhood.

The hotel, which boasts panoramic views over the Mediterranean from a world-class rooftop terrace, opened its doors to global visitors, marking Hilton’s first foray into the glamorous city of Cannes.

Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president, EMEA, Hilton, said the new property is a “spectacular addition” to Hilton’s growing portfolio in the south of France. Located in the heart of the iconic French Riviera, Cannes is a popular destination for luxury shopping, fine dining, and some of the country’s best beach clubs.

Designed by acclaimed designer Ramy Fischer, the hotel features interiors that exude the spirit of the French Riviera. Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer, Hilton, highlighted that the new hotel stands as a tribute to the city’s timeless charm and encapsulates bespoke amenities, exquisite dining, and unparalleled design.

“The opening of Canopy by Hilton Cannes is an exciting milestone for both the brand and Hilton,” said Schuyler. Jean-François Chapel, the general manager, echoed this sentiment, expressing delight in bringing one of the first lifestyle hotels to Cannes. The property aims to offer guests a locally-inspired experience, helping them connect with the unique attributes of the neighborhood.

Guests can enjoy one of the 129 guest rooms and suites, or opt for one of the 12 apartments, many of which offer stunning views over the old harbor, La Croisette, and the Lérins Islands. The rooms feature contemporary artwork by twelve talented young artists and are complemented by Canopy by Hilton’s signature comforts, like their exclusive bedding and thoughtful amenities.

Wellness and relaxation are also at the forefront. The hotel features an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool overlooking the sea. A fitness center is available around the clock, and a spa is set to open soon, featuring a hammam, a Japanese bath, and sauna.

The culinary experience aims to be equally exquisite. The rooftop eatery, Marea, offers a breathtaking 360° panorama and serves small plates sourced from local suppliers. At Café Crème, guests can enjoy detox juices or locally-roasted espressos against a backdrop of lofi and hiphop beats.

The hotel’s public spaces, like Canopy Central, are designed to bring people together in comfort and warm natural light. Complimentary Canopy Bikes are provided for guests wishing to explore the city like a local.

With its strategic location, moments away from the port, and its keen focus on blending local culture with luxury, Canopy by Hilton Cannes is set to become a new key feature in the ever-evolving tapestry of this glamorous city.
