Effective immediately, Edwin Torres has been appointed as the General Manager of the OUTRIGGER Kaanapali Beach Resort in Maui, Hawaii. This comes as the community grapples with the aftermath of the devastating Lahaina wildfires.
OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group recently acquired the 11-acre, 432-room Kaanapali Beach Hotel on July 26, 2023, and rebranded it as the OUTRIGGER Kaanapali Beach Resort. The property sits on the world-renowned Kaanapali Beach in Maui, which TripAdvisor recently named the number one beach in the US and the tenth-best beach in the world.
In his new role, Torres aims to provide exceptional service and create authentic guest experiences while also focusing on operational profitability and the engagement and development of OUTRIGGER hosts.
Torres is no stranger to the OUTRIGGER family. Since February, he has served as the complex General Manager of both the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel and OHANA Waikiki East by OUTRIGGER. Before this, he held the position of General Manager at OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel since 2021. Under his leadership, the hotel rose to the number one spot on TripAdvisor out of 94 hotels on O‘ahu.
