Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Hotel Properties of Panama Inc., has unveiled plans to expand the Hyatt Regency brand in the Latin America & Caribbean region with the introduction of Hyatt Regency Panama City.
Slated to open its doors in summer 2024, this will be the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Panama City and the third Hyatt establishment in Panama.
Strategically located in Panama City’s bustling business district, the hotel promises easy accessibility for both business and leisure travelers. It’s less than 10 miles from Tocumen International Airport and in close proximity to the Multiplaza shopping mall and the new Amador Convention Center.
The Hyatt Regency Panama City will feature 382 guestrooms and suites across two towers. Amenities will include a pool, a state-of-the-art gym, diverse dining options such as a wine bar and coffee shop, and a sprawling 20,000 sq ft. of event space. This space will encompass two ballrooms, an outdoor terrace for events, and a unique Hyatt Regency Broadcast Lounge, facilitating hybrid conference attendance. The hotel’s prime location will also offer guests easy access to a plethora of attractions including cinemas, restaurants, recreational activities, and the iconic Panama Canal.
Camilo Bolanos, Senior Vice President Development for Latin America & the Caribbean, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, citing a surge in travel demand to Central America. He emphasized the Hyatt Regency brand’s commitment to catering to guests’ needs, ensuring a seamless stay experience.
