Ahead of the summer travel season, American Airlines is introducing a series of premium onboard enhancements designed to elevate the inflight experience. Passengers can look forward to stylish new amenity kits and bedding, along with an array of delicious new dishes.
New Amenity Kits and Bedding
American Airlines is teaming up with a variety of boutique and well-known brands to create a unique inflight program. This program will include a new series of amenity kits with rotating designs and high-quality skincare products. Additionally, the airline is launching a new bedding program that will be available on over 300 international and transcontinental flights starting Memorial Day weekend.
Premium Cabin Perks
The primary amenity kit, available year-round to premium cabin passengers, includes essential items like a toothbrush, dental kit, eye mask, and earplugs. Moreover, American will regularly update these kits with new brands and skincare products, enhancing customer experience based on direct feedback.
Collaboration with Thirteen Lune
In collaboration with beauty retailer Thirteen Lune, American Airlines curated high-quality skincare offerings for their kits. These products come from a collection that features diverse founders and voices, including brands like Joanna Vargas and Relevant.
Limited-Edition Specialty Kits
Travelers will also enjoy limited-edition specialty kits designed in partnership with diverse U.S.-based designers and brands. These kits not only offer unique products but also celebrate significant milestones and reflect the diverse values of American Airlines’ customers and team members.
Enhanced Bedding Inspired by Feedback
Following customer feedback, American Airlines is introducing upgraded bedding, including dual-sided pillows, to provide a comfortable and restful experience. Passengers in Flagship® First Class and Business Class will enjoy these new amenities, which include cool touch fabric on one side of the pillow and traditional fabric on the other.
Pajamas and Slippers for Long Flights
Passengers on international flights in Flagship® First Class will continue to receive pajamas, and those in Flagship® Business Class will now receive slippers on all international flights, an upgrade from only ultra-long-haul flights.
Recycled Materials in Bedding
The new bedding is developed in collaboration with inflight textile company John Horsfall. It features recycled materials from their Re-Thread® collection, reducing plastic waste and enhancing sustainability efforts.
New Dining Menus
American Airlines is rolling out new dining menus featuring diverse flavors inspired by its international destinations. Offerings include macadamia crusted sea bass, pan-roasted chicken, and a variety of pasta and salad options. These menus will be available in business class on flights from the U.S. to international destinations.
A Range of New Options
In addition to international menus, passengers traveling domestically in first class will enjoy new meal options such as shawarma seasoned grilled chicken and plant-based stuffed red peppers. These enhancements are part of American’s commitment to providing a superior dining experience onboard.

With lie-flat capability, direct-aisle access, privacy doors, and a chaise lounge position, these suites are designed to offer a highly personalized inflight experience.
Flagship Suite® Preferred
For those seeking ultimate luxury, the Flagship Suite® Preferred seats on new Boeing 787-9 and retrofitted 777-300 aircraft will offer even more space and exclusive amenities. These include a Nest Bedding® mattress pad, a luxurious throw blanket, a memory foam lumbar pillow, Nest Bedding® pajamas, and a special amenity kit with products from Thirteen Lune.
Enhancements in Premium Economy and Main Cabin
Passengers in Premium Economy will benefit from new features such as wireless charging, extra storage space, and privacy headrest wings. Those in the Main Cabin will enjoy new 4K seatback screens, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity, and multiple charging options. All passengers will have access to high-speed Wi-Fi and a vast selection of free entertainment.
AAdvantage® Program Benefits
The AAdvantage® program enhances these experiences, offering members the chance to use miles for upgrades to these premium seats and experiences. Status members might receive complimentary upgrades. The program rewards loyal customers with numerous benefits, and now, members using miles to purchase tickets can receive offers to upgrade their cabin class via the American Airlines website or mobile app for travel within the contiguous U.S.
