Som Esmorzados: Amstel’s Competition Unveils Valencia’s Top Bar Snacks

Amstel’s competition, Som Esmorzados, is back, showcasing the Taste of Valencia with its hunt for the top bar snacks.

This event, celebrated annually, invites over 36,000 bars from the Valencian Community to present their finest recipes, aiming for the prestigious Cacau d’Or award.

With its origins deeply rooted in Valencian culture, this gastronomic tradition brings together the best of the region’s culinary talents.

Last year, nearly 300 bars from the province of Valencia participated, and this year, the competition extends its reach to include bars from Alicante and Castellón.

These establishments are tasked with creating simple yet delicious recipes using no more than four Valencian ingredients. The goal is to highlight the unique flavors and culinary creativity of the region.

The top five bars with the highest scores will compete in the grand finale on November 1st and 2nd at a gastronomic event in Valencia, expected to attract more than 8,000 visitors.
