Turkish Airlines Partners with TÜRKSAT for Fleet-Wide Wi-Fi Upgrade

Turkish Airlines has announced a significant Wi-Fi upgrade across its entire fleet through a new partnership with TÜRKSAT.

This Turkish Airlines Wi-Fi upgrade, expected to be completed within two years, aims to equip both current and new aircraft with the latest in-flight connectivity (IFC) technologies, ensuring all passengers have access to seamless, high-speed internet during their flights.

The announcement was made at the UK aviation fair, where Turkish Airlines Chairman and Executive Committee President Ahmet Bolat, CEO Bilal Ekşi, and TÜRKSAT General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok signed the agreement.

This Turkish Airlines TÜRKSAT partnership marks a major milestone in the airline’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience through cutting-edge technology.

By the end of this year, Turkish Airlines plans to begin integrating advanced IFC technologies across its fleet, ultimately offering unlimited, uninterrupted, and faster Wi-Fi services for free to all passengers. This upgrade will extend the high-quality IFC service currently available on a portion of its fleet to every aircraft in operation.

Busan Green and Growing

To achieve this ambitious goal, Turkish Airlines is collaborating with both local and international suppliers to deliver the best IFC service solutions. Additionally, the airline is supporting Turkish companies in developing these connectivity solutions, fostering innovation and growth within the local technology sector.

The project will be executed jointly by Turkish Airlines’ cabin systems subsidiary, TCI Aircraft Interiors, and TÜRKSAT. This collaboration ensures that the best resources and expertise are leveraged to provide passengers with top-tier in-flight connectivity.

With this initiative, Turkish Airlines is set to offer one of the most comprehensive in-flight Wi-Fi services in the industry, enhancing the travel experience and keeping passengers connected, no matter where they fly.
