Aviator Airport Alliance, a full-range provider of aviation services across the Nordics and a member of Avia Solutions Group, has announced the reopening of its newly renovated business lounge at Copenhagen Airport (CPH).
This lounge has long been an essential part of the airport’s ecosystem, welcoming tens of thousands of passengers annually. After a brief closure for renovations, the lounge has been completely redesigned to meet the needs of today’s travelers.
With a strong focus on Danish design, the updated lounge offers a modern, tranquil space that enhances the overall airport experience. New areas have been added for relaxation, productivity, and socializing, ensuring the lounge caters to the diverse needs of various customer segments. To improve passenger flow, the food and beverage buffet has been repositioned, making the space more accessible and comfortable for all, regardless of how busy it gets.
Some of the other features include soundproof office pods for focused work or private calls, LED screens for entertainment, and plenty of power outlets to keep personal devices fully charged. These upgrades ensure travelers can stay connected and feel at ease during their time before departure.
Reflecting Copenhagen’s reputation as “The Most Livable City,” the lounge’s interior emphasizes the key aspects of Danish design: simplicity, functionality, and elegance. Aviator partnered with renowned Danish brands like Muuto, Andersen Furniture, and +Halle, as well as international supplier VITRA, to create a unique, welcoming environment. Custom-made furniture and locally sourced art pieces also contribute to the space’s distinctive feel.
“This was a multi-layered project that required expertise across several areas, and I’m incredibly grateful to our team for managing it all so smoothly. Finally, we can welcome our guests to a lounge that is not only beautifully and thoughtfully designed but also aligns with Aviator’s belief in sustainable practices,” shared Patrik Bayardo, Head of Hospitality at Aviator Airport Alliance.
Sustainability was a guiding principle in the lounge renovation, with an emphasis on eco-friendly, certified materials such as those meeting ISO 14001, EPD, and FSC® standards for environmental responsibility. Modular, lightweight furniture reduces waste, while energy-efficient production processes and recyclable packaging further minimize environmental impact.
The renovated business lounge reinforces Aviator’s position as a leader in airport hospitality and adds to CPH Airport’s appeal to both business travelers and airlines. Peter Krogsgaard, Chief Commercial Officer in Copenhagen Airport, commented: “We are thrilled to join our partner Aviator in celebrating the reopening of their newly rebuilt lounge. This exquisite space has been designed and constructed to give passengers an opportunity to relax and find calm within great and world-famous Danish design, before they take off and explore the world. We send our thanks to Aviator for an always strong and great collaboration and wish them all the best with their delightful new lounge”.
