Hilton has announced a significant expansion of its presence in Türkiye, signing five new hotel agreements spanning four brands and reaffirming its long-term commitment to one of its most strategically important markets.
Building on more than 70 years of operations in the country, the latest deals underline Hilton’s confidence in Türkiye’s tourism strength, growing business travel demand, and rising appetite for lifestyle hospitality concepts. The new agreements broaden Hilton’s footprint in key destinations—particularly Istanbul, Antalya, and the industrial hub of Kocaeli—while strengthening both its flagship and focused-service offerings.
A central theme of Hilton’s announcement is the continued momentum of its lifestyle portfolio, which accounts for roughly 20% of the company’s development pipeline in Türkiye. Two additional projects under the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand are planned for Istanbul, further boosting this segment. The company says that lifestyle hotels—often defined by design-forward spaces, locally inspired storytelling, and neighborhood integration—are increasingly resonating with travelers seeking authentic experiences tied to place. The new deals indicate Hilton’s intention to meet this demand while also expanding the reach of trusted brands such as DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn across the country.
Commenting on the latest agreements, Mike Collini, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for Central and Eastern Europe, emphasized that Türkiye remains a key growth market for the company. He pointed to the strong performance of Hilton’s lifestyle brands and suggested that the successful 2025 openings of Tapestry Collection and Canopy by Hilton in Türkiye helped validate the strategy. Collini said the agreements highlight enduring demand for Hilton’s multi-brand portfolio nationwide and reflect growing interest in experiences that feel rooted in local culture, design, and community. For Hilton, the latest signings represent not only an increase in room count but also a wider range of guest experiences across segments.
Hilton Antalya City Centre
Scheduled to open in 2028, the Hilton Antalya City Centre will bring the flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand to one of Türkiye’s most visited destinations. Antalya is widely recognized for its Mediterranean coastline, resort appeal, and year-round tourism draw, and the forthcoming property is designed to serve both leisure and events-driven demand. With 254 rooms and suites, the hotel is expected to offer a full-service experience aligned with Hilton’s global standards.
Plans for the hotel include a grand ballroom, multiple meeting spaces of varying sizes, and an expansive spa and wellness center—features aimed at positioning the property as a premium venue for conferences, weddings, and large gatherings. Indoor and rooftop pools are also part of the concept, along with dining and beverage outlets designed to accommodate different guest preferences. By combining event infrastructure with high-comfort accommodations, Hilton Antalya City Centre is set to become a central meeting point for both international visitors and domestic travelers.
DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Maçka
Expected to open in spring 2026, DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Maçka will add 109 rooms and suites to Hilton’s Istanbul portfolio. The hotel is positioned in one of the city’s most prestigious areas, within walking distance of Nişantaşı and Taksim—two districts that attract travelers for shopping, dining, culture, and nightlife. The location is designed to appeal to guests who want to stay connected to the city’s core while enjoying an elevated and contemporary hospitality experience.
According to the project details, the property will feature a warm and inviting lobby lounge, an all-day restaurant, and a rooftop restaurant and bar offering panoramic city views. It will also include multipurpose meeting spaces, along with fitness and wellness amenities. The hotel’s positioning suggests a focus on guests balancing work and leisure, offering comfort and convenience in a central neighborhood where transportation, business areas, and cultural landmarks are easily accessible.
Gist Istanbul, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
Opening in 2027, Gist Istanbul will join the Tapestry Collection by Hilton as a 46-room lifestyle hotel with a distinctive design concept. The property is planned in an area recognized for both its scenic appeal and transport connectivity, with proximity to the Bosphorus, Galataport, and major city links. With its smaller room count and character-driven positioning, the hotel aims to deliver a more intimate experience than traditional large-scale city properties.
The hotel is set to include a restaurant and a rooftop bar, alongside a fitness area available to guests throughout their stay. Hilton’s stated goal is to provide an experience that feels lively and inspiring for travelers exploring Istanbul’s cultural and historic centers. In a city where neighborhood identity plays a large role in guest expectations, the project is positioned to draw visitors looking for both access and atmosphere—an experience shaped by location as much as by design.
Hotel Istanbul Şişli, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
Another lifestyle addition planned for 2028 is Hotel Istanbul Şişli, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Situated in the heart of Şişli—one of Istanbul’s most dynamic commercial districts—the 48-room property is designed to serve a mixed audience of business travelers and leisure visitors. Şişli’s appeal lies in its blend of corporate presence, retail options, and connectivity to other key parts of the city, making it an ideal base for short stays and multi-purpose trips.
The hotel will include a restaurant highlighting locally inspired cuisine, two meeting rooms, and a modern fitness center. Hilton describes the concept as an authentic alternative that reflects the spirit of the surrounding neighborhood while delivering the comfort and character expected from a lifestyle property. With convenient access to shopping, culture, and transport, the hotel is positioned to offer a practical yet personality-rich stay for guests who want a sense of place alongside modern amenities.
Hilton Garden Inn Kocaeli Dilovası
Planned to open in 2027, Hilton Garden Inn Kocaeli Dilovası is set to become the first internationally branded hotel located in the Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone. The project reflects Hilton’s strategy of meeting demand not only in tourism centers but also in fast-growing business corridors. With 104 modern rooms, the hotel is intended to support corporate travel, long-stay guests, and events linked to the region’s expanding industrial economy.
The property will feature extensive meeting facilities, including a multifunctional hall spanning 500 square meters. Plans also include a restaurant and bar, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and wellness options such as a Turkish bath. With these facilities, the hotel is positioned as a hub for business gatherings and corporate functions, offering a consistent and professional experience in a location where branded hospitality options have traditionally been limited.
More Openings Ahead: Strengthening Flagship and Lifestyle Momentum
In addition to the five newly announced agreements, Hilton outlined further developments to reinforce its flagship presence in Türkiye. The company expects the opening of Hilton Istanbul Airport in 2026 and the completion of renovation works at the iconic Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus. These projects are intended to strengthen Hilton’s brand leadership in Istanbul while supporting evolving expectations around contemporary design, upgraded facilities, and enhanced guest experiences.
Hilton also signaled continued growth in its lifestyle segment following the first Türkiye openings of the Tapestry Collection and Canopy by Hilton brands in 2025. The company expects five additional lifestyle hotel openings within the year, with planned properties including Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton; Porto Chiara Istanbul Karaköy and Les Temps Istanbul Karaköy under the Curio Collection brand; and additional pipeline projects such as Palazzo Donizetti Istanbul and Myrna Izmir Konak joining the Tapestry Collection. Together, these projects suggest that Hilton is leaning into experiential travel trends while continuing to scale its multi-brand presence across Türkiye.
Hilton Honors: Loyalty Benefits Across a Growing Network
Guests staying at Hilton properties in Türkiye can also access benefits through the Hilton Honors loyalty program. With more than 235 million members worldwide, the program lets members earn points on stays and experiences when booking directly with Hilton. Members can take advantage of features such as digital room selection, contactless check-in, instant-use rewards, and member-only discounts—benefits designed to enhance convenience and reward repeat travel.
As Hilton adds new hotels across major urban areas, leisure destinations, and business districts, the loyalty program is expected to play a larger role in encouraging cross-property stays and longer-term engagement. For travelers, that means greater choice across price points and trip types—from lifestyle stays in central Istanbul to full-service hospitality in Antalya and business-ready accommodations in industrial Kocaeli.
With these five new agreements, Hilton is positioning itself for the next phase of growth in Türkiye—one that combines flagship scale, lifestyle individuality, and business-travel practicality. The projects reflect a broader strategy: meet travelers where they are going, offer experiences shaped by local identity, and expand a network that supports both tourism and commerce. If the pipeline progresses as planned, Hilton’s Türkiye footprint will soon become deeper, more diverse, and more closely aligned with the evolving expectations of modern travelers.
