OKU Hotels has opened its first property in Türkiye, welcoming guests to a 58 room adults only resort on the northern coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. OKU Bodrum sits in the protected waters of Küçükbük Bay and becomes the brand’s fourth hotel worldwide.
The boutique property follows earlier openings in Ibiza, Kos and Andalusia. Every room and suite at OKU Bodrum has a sea view, with a mix of private pools and a shared pool option available across the property.
Design Rooted in Natural Materials
OKU Bodrum’s interiors follow the bohemian chic, minimalist style that has become the brand’s signature, built around earth tones, natural materials and clean contemporary lines. Each room includes a private balcony or terrace.
The hotel has collaborated with Turkish art curator Begüm Güney to display original artworks throughout its public spaces, intended to reinforce the property’s connection to nature and its meditative atmosphere. The name OKU comes from the Japanese word for inner space, a concept reflected in the hotel’s overall design and pace.
Direct Access to the Aegean
Set in a sheltered, naturally protected bay, OKU Bodrum offers direct access to the sea. A private jetty allows guests to reach hidden lagoons and nearby islands by boat, with the property’s location designed to combine a sense of seclusion with opportunities for exploration.
The architecture incorporates natural stone, hand cut travertine, open air walkways and recycled materials, an approach the brand says reflects both understated elegance and sustainability.
Dining Built Around Three Distinct Spaces
OKU Bodrum’s culinary program is anchored by three venues. TEYO, the hotel’s signature restaurant, serves Japanese cuisine with an open air setting and contemporary presentation. TO KIMA Restaurant, located beside the pool, offers a modern take on local Mediterranean cooking, while The Round Bar serves cocktails and a selection of meze dishes with views over one of Bodrum’s sunset spots.
Beyond dining, the hotel has built a seasonal program of curated activities, including DJ sessions, cultural workshops, mindfulness sessions and gatherings themed around local traditions. Guests can also take part in tasting sessions, Mediterranean cuisine experiences, sunrise yoga and conversations focused on art.
Wellness and Outdoor Activities
OKU Bodrum has also developed a wellness garden where guests can join workshops, alongside guided nature walks and traditional artisan weaving sessions. Paddleboarding is available on the bay’s turquoise waters.
OKU SPA includes a hammam and relaxation areas, along with treatment cabanas positioned near the jetty, where guests can receive outdoor treatments accompanied by the sound of the sea. A yoga and wellness terrace set on a rocky outcrop overlooks the water and is used for yoga, breathwork, meditation and healing rituals. The property also has a fully equipped fitness studio and an outdoor exercise terrace.
OKU Bodrum is positioned by the brand as a destination for slow travel, built around its connection to nature and a deliberately unhurried pace, marking the next step in OKU Hotels’ expansion across the Mediterranean and Aegean regions.
