Türkiye ranks second in Russia’s cheapest beach holiday study

Türkiye has ranked second in a new study of the cheapest beach holiday destinations for Russian travellers in July 2026, with package prices for Alanya starting at 118,100 rubles. Thailand came first in the ranking, where deals to Pattaya began at 112,800 rubles.

The study was carried out by the Russian Association of Tour Operators, known as ATOR, and looked at package holidays for two people that included flights and 4-star hotel stays. It found that Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan all remained among the most affordable options for Russians planning summer beach trips.

ATOR said the prices used in the study varied by destination and board basis. In Türkiye and Egypt, the organisation based its findings on all-inclusive packages, while in other destinations it used packages that included breakfast.

For Türkiye, the report used Alanya as the example destination and said 9-night all-inclusive holidays there started at 118,100 rubles. In Kemer, 6-night packages started at 119,200 rubles, while 9-night stays reached 149,400 rubles.

Thailand remained the cheapest option in the survey. Pattaya packages for 6 nights started at 112,800 rubles, while 10-night holidays came in at 122,100 rubles. Longer 12-night stays in Phuket rose to 164,000 rubles.

The United Arab Emirates followed Türkiye in third place, with packages to Dubai and Sharjah starting at 119,500 rubles. Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh came next at 123,900 rubles, while Jordan’s Aqaba was listed at 126,300 rubles.

According to the study, travellers with budgets of up to 150,000 rubles could also consider India’s Goa region and China’s Hainan Island, alongside the countries already listed. ATOR said package holidays to these destinations could still be found below that threshold for two people.

The research also pointed to several destinations just above and below the 200,000-ruble mark. In Sri Lanka, trips to Tangalle started at 167,800 rubles, while 4-star stays in Bali began at 196,100 rubles. The report said options at that price level in Indonesia were limited, with most packages costing 250,000 to 270,000 rubles.

Among the destinations priced up to 250,000 rubles, Vietnam, the Philippines, Tanzania, the Maldives and Malaysia stood out. Vietnam was the cheapest in that group, with packages to Nha Trang starting at 202,000 rubles. Boracay in the Philippines started at 203,200 rubles, Zanzibar at 204,100 rubles, the Maldives at 222,600 rubles and Langkawi in Malaysia at 224,100 rubles.

The most expensive beach destinations in the July study were the Seychelles and Mauritius. Two-person packages to the Seychelles started at 279,400 rubles, while packages to Mauritius started at 279,900 rubles. Some higher-end hotels pushed prices above 330,000 rubles.

ATOR said the study covered flights and 4-star accommodation for two people. It added that the comparison used all-inclusive packages for Türkiye and Egypt, and breakfast-inclusive packages for other destinations.
