Two Valencia restaurants have launched a social media giveaway offering a fully paid trip for two to the 2026 World Cup final in New York. The prize includes return flights from Madrid, 2 hotel nights, 2 match tickets and 500 euros for spending money.
Voltereta and Begin said the winner and a guest would watch the Spain-Argentina final from the stands of the stadium on Sunday 19 July. The draw is due to be announced at 10:00 on 17 July and will be carried out live on the restaurants’ official accounts under notary supervision.
The promotion comes as travel demand to New York rises sharply ahead of the final. Booking.com said searches for the New York City for this weekend are up 132%, while searches for nearby Jersey City, connected to New York by metro and close to MetLife Stadium, are up 400%.

Voltereta and Begin are known for their themed restaurants, designed to transport diners to different parts of the world through their decor. The giveaway is part of a broader wave of interest in the New York final, which is also boosting flight and hotel demand across the city.
According to Booking.com, New York is the most searched destination in the world on the platform this weekend. Jersey City has also climbed 53 places to become the 18th most searched city globally.
The World Cup final in New York is the second men’s World Cup final to be held in a Spanish-speaking country, after Uruguay and Argentina hosted the 1930 decider. Argentina is chasing a fourth world title, while Spain is aiming for a second.
Airlines are responding to the demand with extra capacity. Iberia plans a special return flight on Sunday using an Airbus A321XLR, allowing passengers to fly out early in the morning and return after the match. Its scheduled Saturday and Sunday services will be upgraded from the 182-seat A321XLR to an Airbus A330 with 292 seats.
Air Europa is also operating a special Madrid-New York service with 339 seats. It will leave Madrid at 05:45 on Sunday and arrive at JFK at 07:45 local time, while the return flight will depart New York at 23:30 local time and land in Madrid at 12:45 on Monday.
Level said searches for flights to New York had risen 1,079%, underlining the scale of interest in the final. The surge has put the city at the centre of both sport and travel demand, with restaurants, airlines and booking platforms all benefiting from the event.
