APG expands its GSA relationship with Canada’s WestJet

APG announced an extension to its GSA relationship with Canada’s most preferred airline WestJet covering 3 new countries, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

WestJet offers scheduled service to more than 90 destinations in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe. APG will be providing full sales and marketing services as well as call center and ticketing facilities in the additional countries. The airline expects the new countries to deliver strong connecting passenger traffic to its growing number of destinations in Europe including London, Paris, Dublin, and Glasgow.

The second largest Canadian carrier was founded in Calgary in 1996 and carried 583,000 passengers to 5 destinations with 3 aircraft in its first year. By 2013 the airline carried 18.5 million passengers to 86 destinations. Today WestJet’s modern fleet comprises over 100 aircraft including B737, B767, and Q400 aircraft types and is awaiting delivery of state of the art Dreamliner aircraft towards the end of 2018. WestJet has recently announced its first Dreamliner destinations for 2019 which will be London, Dublin and Paris, all to be served from Calgary.
