WestJet, Canada’s premier carrier headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, has extended its strategic partnership with APG, a leading global airline services company, to South Korea where APG will act as the airline’s representative.
Under this partnership agreement, APG will play a pivotal role in enhancing WestJet’s presence in South Korea by providing comprehensive sales development, agent helpdesk support and dynamic marketing initiatives.
The catalyst for this collaboration is the launch of WestJet’s newest transpacific service from Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul, South Korea.
Commencing on May 17, 2024, this direct flight service will operate three times weekly offering travelers unparalleled convenience and connectivity between South Korea and Western Canada with onward connections throughout the expansive WestJet network.
Passengers aboard WestJet’s Calgary-Seoul route can look forward to experiencing the utmost comfort and luxury onboard the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Renowned for its spacious cabins, advanced amenities, and exceptional service, the Dreamliner promises an unforgettable travel experience for guests journeying between Calgary and Seoul.
“We are delighted to be further expanding our multi-country relationship with WestJet and supporting the airline’s launch of its second route into Asia to complement WestJet’s existing route to Japan. Our team in South Korea are very much looking forward to welcoming the first flight later this year and building up a strong base of agent support” commented Richard Burgess, President, APG Network.
“As we expand our network in Asia, we are excited to continue our partnership with APG Network. With their support, we are confident that our second route to Asia will be a success.” adds Todd Lindey, Manager International Sales, WestJet
