Holiday Inn Debuts in Bhutan

IHG® Hotels & Resorts, a leading global hotel company, has announced the signing of a management agreement with T&K Construction Private Limited to introduce the first Holiday Inn hotel in Bhutan.

Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025, the Holiday Inn Thimphu will feature 100 rooms, providing an internationally renowned brand for leisure and business travelers visiting Bhutan. This new addition complements IHG’s existing Six Senses Bhutan brand in the country.

Bhutan’s breathtaking landscapes and natural beauty have attracted the attention of leisure travelers worldwide. With the government’s proactive efforts to establish Bhutan as a premier international holiday destination, the Holiday Inn Thimphu aims to deliver an exceptional and immersive stay experience for guests. Strategically located in the vibrant capital city, the hotel will offer convenient access to prominent tourist centers and be in close proximity to Paro International Airport.

The Holiday Inn Thimphu will provide a wide range of world-class amenities, catering to the needs of both leisure and business travelers. Guests can expect comfortable and well-appointed rooms and suites, complemented by three dining options including an all-day dining restaurant, a vibrant bar, and a relaxing lobby lounge. Recognizing the growing demand for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and corporate events, the hotel will feature multiple meeting and event facilities, including a ballroom. Additionally, guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation can enjoy access to leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, and spa.

Furthermore, the company has a strong pipeline of 55 hotels set to open in the region within the next 2-3 years, showcasing its commitment to meeting the increasing demand in emerging markets.
