Hilton Debuts Tru by Hilton and Homewood Suites in Saltillo, Mexico

Hilton has announced the debut of Tru by Hilton Saltillo and Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo, a dual-branded property located in the capital of Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico.

Owned by American Hotels Group, the new hotels aim to provide both business and leisure travelers with reliable accommodations for short and extended stays. The launch strengthens Hilton’s presence in Mexico, where the company operates more than 110 hotels and has over 40 properties in development.

Hilton leaders emphasized that the openings reflect the company’s commitment to offering flexible lodging choices in Mexico’s growing industrial and cultural hubs. “The opening of Tru by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton in Saltillo reflects our commitment to offering travelers more choice and flexibility,” said Maxime Verstraete, vice president, brand management, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton. “Dual-brand properties like this one allow us to cater to a wide range of stay occasions—from short business trips to extended family visits—by providing distinct room types and amenities under one roof.”

Strategic Location in Saltillo

The dual-branded hotel is located on Saltillo’s main highway, three miles from downtown and less than eight miles from Aeropuerto Internacional Plan de Guadalupe. Guests also have easy access to local attractions including the Parque Centro shopping complex, Museo del Desierto, and the Santa María and Ramos Arizpe Industrial Parks.

A range of amenities are offered to appeal to both corporate and leisure guests. These include a complimentary daily hot breakfast buffet, an onsite restaurant serving northern Mexican cuisine, a bar with handcrafted cocktails, and a 24-hour convenience store. Leisure facilities include a heated pool, fitness center, and an interactive lobby with foosball. Business travelers have access to eight meeting rooms, with nearly 4,300 square feet of flexible event space.

Investment in Saltillo

Hotel ownership highlighted Saltillo’s expanding economic potential as a driver for the project. “Our investment in Saltillo underscores our confidence in its dynamic evolution across thriving industries, a city full of promise and one of transformational growth,” said Juan Carlos Saade, hotel owner, Tru by Hilton Saltillo and Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo.

“The hotel was thoughtfully designed for the modern traveler, offering curated hospitality experiences that meet the shifting needs of the city’s vibrant business sector and rich cultural allure.”

Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo is the brand’s third hotel in Mexico and is aimed at travelers seeking extended stays. The 84 apartment-style suites include separate living and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerators and microwaves, and interiors decorated in gray with fuchsia accents. These features are intended to help guests balance comfort and productivity during longer visits.

Hilton’s Regional Growth

Guests staying at both properties can participate in Hilton Honors, the company’s loyalty program, which provides benefits such as exclusive discounts, flexible payment options combining points and cash, and free Wi-Fi. The new Saltillo openings add to Hilton’s portfolio of more than 290 hotels and resorts operating across the Caribbean and Latin America. Hilton also reports a pipeline of over 140 projects currently in development in the region.

The debut of Tru by Hilton Saltillo and Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to expand in key Latin American markets. With Saltillo recognized as one of Mexico’s fastest-growing industrial hubs, the dual-branded hotel is positioned to serve both international business travelers and domestic visitors seeking modern, reliable accommodations.
