Hyatt Announces Adults-Only Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana Resort

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to open Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana, a 406-room adults-only all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, in 2026.

A Hyatt affiliate will manage the property under an agreement with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., the owner of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, which sits adjacent to the new development.

The opening will expand Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection in the Caribbean and strengthen the company’s presence in Punta Cana, a leading tourism destination. The resort will feature Junior Suites, Master Suites, and Presidential Suites, along with 111 swim-out suites and 13 panoramic high-level swim-out suites, offering a luxury retreat on Macao Beach.

Resort Features and Dining

Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana is designed to highlight natural aesthetics and provide a serene environment for adults seeking luxury. Guests will enjoy Unlimited-Luxury® inclusions such as beach and pool service, unlimited international and domestic top-shelf spirits, 24-hour room service, concierge support, daily activities, entertainment, and nightly programming.

The resort will offer nine restaurants with international cuisines and nine bars featuring premium spirits. Facilities will include a sports bar with dining service, a cigar lounge, and Coco Café serving light meals. An on-site organic garden will support a farm-to-table restaurant showcasing regional flavors, while Preferred Club guests will have access to an exclusive venue with curated menus and personalized service.

“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Hyatt with plans for Secrets Macao Beach,” said Georges Santa-Maria, Manager, GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L. “Building on the success of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, we are confident this resort will offer a premier, adults-only experience to perfectly complement Hyatt’s existing brand footprint in the destination, further elevating the appeal of this incredible location and its natural beauty.”

Leisure and Meeting Facilities

The property will include three pools: a main pool with a beach club-inspired atmosphere, an activity pool with daytime entertainment, and a rooftop pool for Preferred Club members offering panoramic ocean views. Guests at Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana will also have free-flow access to the neighboring Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, expanding dining and leisure options.

To accommodate events, the resort will feature a convention center with capacity for up to 1,000 guests, providing facilities for conferences, weddings, and corporate gatherings in a beachfront setting.

“The Dominican Republic continues to be a priority destination for our guests seeking adults-only, all-inclusive luxury experiences, and our commitment to growing with intent remains prevalent in this highly coveted region,” said Fernando Fernandez, Vice President, Development, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt.

“We’re thrilled to strengthen our relationship with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L. and bringing the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand to Macao Beach, recognized as one of the Caribbean’s top beaches by UNESCO.”

The opening of Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana adds to Hyatt’s growing list of Inclusive Collection properties in the Dominican Republic. Recent additions include Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Miches. Hyatt has also expanded in La Romana with Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa and Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa, while Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana is scheduled to debut in late 2025.

The project underscores Hyatt’s strategy to expand in key resort markets by leveraging established partnerships. For GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., the new development represents a continuation of investment in Punta Cana, a destination recognized for its white sand beaches, growing infrastructure, and sustained visitor demand. The collaboration seeks to strengthen the area’s position as a top Caribbean hub for all-inclusive and adults-only travel.

The Dominican Republic remains one of Hyatt’s priority growth markets in the Caribbean, supported by steady visitor arrivals and increased demand for luxury accommodations. The addition of Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana is expected to boost Hyatt’s competitiveness in the region’s resort sector while enhancing the appeal of Macao Beach as an international travel destination.
