IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée, a 250-room property located just 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris. The conversion project, developed in partnership with Danish real estate company Proark, is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2026.
The addition of Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée expands IHG’s premium portfolio in France and reinforces its strategy to grow in high-demand leisure destinations. The property will provide both business and leisure travelers with modern accommodations, conference facilities, and direct access to one of Europe’s most visited attractions.
Hotel Features and Design
The hotel will feature an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a wellness area, two restaurants, a bar, and flexible social spaces. For meetings and events, it will offer large state-of-the-art facilities, including a ballroom designed to maximize flexibility for conferences, weddings, and gatherings. Its design will combine functionality with a modern approach, supporting Crowne Plaza’s focus on blended travel for both work and leisure.
Located in Magny-le-Hongre, a town known for its scenic landscapes and cultural landmarks, the property provides access to the hills of the Grand Morin and the historic 11th-century church of Sainte-Geneviève. The location also allows families and international visitors to combine cultural exploration with visits to Disneyland Paris, one of Europe’s most popular theme parks.
“Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring one of the world’s largest premium hotel brands to a landmark leisure destination,” said Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “France continues to be a key market for IHG, and I’m proud to see our momentum in the premium segment, with over 10 properties open and pipeline, in the country. We’re particularly pleased to be partnering with Proark, who have placed their trust in IHG and our Crowne Plaza brand to deliver strong returns for them and this exceptional property.”
Partnership with Proark
The development marks a new stage in Proark’s investment in Magny-le-Hongre. “This project marks an exciting new chapter for our Magny-le-Hongre property, and we’re proud to embark on this journey with IHG Hotels & Resorts – a partner who shares our values and vision,” said Michael Brag, Chairman of Magny-le-Hongre Hotel, Proark. “Once doors open in 2026, Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée will reflect our commitment to modern design and sustainability, to not only meet, but elevate, the guest experience in France.”
The agreement builds on Crowne Plaza’s global presence, with more than 400 open properties worldwide and a development pipeline including projects in Tajikistan and Türkiye. In Europe, Crowne Plaza operates more than 90 hotels, with an additional 17 under development. Recent signings in France include IHG’s first Vignette Collection property in Théoule-sur-Mer, expanding the company’s footprint across multiple market segments.
Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée will join IHG’s network of 70 open hotels in France and a further 10 in the pipeline, as of June 30, 2025. The project reflects the brand’s refreshed identity and guest-focused programs that emphasize productivity, relaxation, and connection in premium hospitality environments.
With its proximity to Disneyland Paris and central position in Marne-la-Vallée, the hotel is expected to serve as a key destination for international tourists, families, and conference organizers. The development reinforces France’s role as one of IHG’s core growth markets in Europe and highlights the continued demand for premium accommodations near leading attractions.
