IHG Hotels & Resorts will debut its luxury lifestyle brand, Kimpton, in Malaysia with the opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur in Q4 2025.
The new property will be located within the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Kuala Lumpur’s Central Business District and Malaysia’s first international financial district. Designed to be an extension of the city’s energy, Kimpton Naluria promises a distinct blend of modern luxury, heartfelt service, and curated guest experiences.
A Brand Rooted in Meaning and Style
The name Naluria is inspired by two Malay words: “Naluri” meaning instinct, and “Ria” meaning joy—reflecting the hotel’s philosophy of intuitive hospitality and emotional connection. It’s a sanctuary where guests can embrace both adventure and tranquility in an effortlessly stylish setting that captures the duality of Kuala Lumpur’s cultural soul.
Paul Cunningham, General Manager of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, emphasized that the hotel will be more than a place to stay. “It will be the city’s next vibrant social hub, where human hospitality, inspiration, wellness and evocative experiences come together seamlessly,” he said.
Kimpton Signature Experiences
Guests can expect Kimpton’s signature touch, including thoughtfully designed perks and lifestyle-driven hospitality such as:
- Forgot It, We’ve Got It! – A curated list of travel essentials available upon request.
- Kimpton Kickstart – Complimentary coffee and tea service each morning in the hotel lobby.
- Kimpton Social – A hosted evening social hour featuring drinks, conversation, and local flair.
These amenities are designed to promote ease, connection, and spontaneity during every stay.
Design That Reflects Malaysia’s Natural Beauty
In collaboration with award-winning Hassell Studio, Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur’s interiors will blend the vibrancy of urban KL with the calming richness of Malaysia’s natural landscapes. Organic textures, natural stone elements, and abundant greenery will define the design palette. Floor-to-ceiling windows will offer panoramic views of the city, while a mix of light and curated materials will create a warm, tranquil ambiance.
The hotel will rise 26 storeys and feature 466 rooms. It aims to become an urban haven in a business-centric neighborhood by providing design-forward accommodation with an emphasis on personalization and wellness.
Dining and Social Spaces
Food and drink will be central to the Kimpton experience in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel will feature four distinct dining venues:
| Venue | Concept |
|---|---|
| Four Siblings | A rooftop bar and lounge with sweeping skyline views |
| Tuai + Till | An all-day dining concept that transforms into a Malaysian café (Tuai) and a Western brasserie (Till) |
| Retro Italian-American Restaurant | A specialty venue, soon to be revealed |
The property will also include five flexible event spaces for meetings, intimate gatherings, or social functions—each designed to foster human connection in an inspiring environment.
Kimpton’s Rapid Global Expansion
Kimpton Naluria is part of Kimpton’s expanding footprint across Asia and Europe. The brand, which began in 1981 in San Francisco, has grown into a global name synonymous with distinctive, design-forward hospitality. Its debut in Asia came with Kimpton Da’An Taipei, followed by successful launches in Thailand, including Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and Kimpton Kitalay Samui.
