New Hotel Indigo Opens in Sydney

IHG Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Pro-invest Group, announced the grand opening of Hotel Indigo Sydney Potts Point.

This marks the debut of the globally renowned, neighbourhood-inspired boutique brand in Sydney. Nestled behind the city’s iconic neon Coca-Cola sign, the 105-room hotel is a vibrant addition to the eclectic Kings Cross neighbourhood, a hub for creatives and party-goers for nearly a century.

The multi-million-dollar refurbishment undertaken by Pro-invest Group breathes new life into the property. It celebrates the area’s rich history as a mecca for musicians, entertainers, and artists. The hotel’s design is a tribute to Kings Cross’s past, present, and future, blending the artistic and the contemporary. Guests are welcomed into a theatrical lobby adorned with a curated art collection, including NFT dance projections and photographic portraits of performance artists who have graced local stages. The lobby also features a turntable for guests to play vintage vinyl records, adding a personal touch to the atmosphere each evening.

The guest room floors continue the theme, with lenticular signage and commissioned artwork honoring the area’s art deco architecture and famous cabaret and drag show scene. The rooms offer views of the city, Sydney Harbour, or the vibrant neon-lit streets, with some featuring private terraces and balconies. The creatively furnished rooms are equipped with generously stocked mini-bars and an all-day in-room breakfast menu, anticipated to be a popular choice among guests.

Adding to the hotel’s allure is renowned Sydney chef Luke Mangan’s new restaurant and bar, Luc-san, a French Izakaya offering a buzzing addition to Potts Point. Hotel guests can also indulge in French-Japanese cuisine in their rooms. Additionally, The X Café in the hotel lobby, also overseen by Mangan, serves everything from morning lattes to lunchtime bites to both guests and locals.
