AHLA Appoints Jolyon Bulley as Executive Committee Member

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) revealed that Jolyon Bulley, CEO for the Americas at IHG Hotels & Resorts, will join its executive committee.

The committee is comprised of top-tier professionals from every facet of the hospitality sector, guiding AHLA’s policies with their collective insights.

Chip Rogers, President & CEO of AHLA, spoke highly of the new addition, stating, “Jolyon’s extensive experience in hospitality management, both globally and operationally, makes him an invaluable asset to our executive committee and our over 30,000 AHLA members.”

In his current role at IHG, Bulley oversees the management, expansion, and profitability of the Americas division, as well as the strategic direction for the brand’s Luxury & Lifestyle segment worldwide. He has previously served as CEO for Greater China for more than half a decade.

Before ascending to his current role, Bulley was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Americas between 2014 and 2017. There, he led operational strategies for both franchised and managed hotels, fostered relationships with franchisees, and improved hotel performance. Bulley has also worked as the COO for Greater China, managing the region’s hotel portfolio, brand performance, and new openings. He initially joined IHG in 2001, holding several progressively responsible roles within the company’s Asia-Pacific division.

On his appointment, Bulley expressed his enthusiasm: “Joining AHLA’s executive committee is an honor. AHLA has long been the benchmark for advocacy, communications, and member services within the hotel industry. I am eager to contribute to taking our sector to even greater heights.”
