Ahmet Bolat has been appointed as the chairman of the board of directors, replacing İlker Aycı, who resigned from Turkish Airlines.
Since starting his career at Turkish Airlines in 2005, Dr. Ahmet Bolat played an essential role in the growth strategy & fleet investment planning of Turkish Airlines. These strategic growth efforts led to the team’s procurement of 550 aircraft for Turkish Airlines’ fleet.
Dr. Bolat has held different senior positions during his 17-year tenure at Turkish Airlines. Most recently, from 2012 to 2022, he was responsible for Fleet Planning, Investment Management, International Relations & Alliances and Innovation as the Chief (Investment and Technology) Officer. Prior to, he was Senior Vice President, Investment Management.
He has also run Government Affairs issues & commercial agreements with airline partners, ensuring partnership & network development with enhanced bilateral relations and has been the leading executive for the feasibility study of Alliance election process for Turkish Airlines.
