The Hotel Maria announced the appointment of Juha Mähönen as its new CEO and General Manager, effective immediately.
Mähönen, a seasoned leader with more than four decades of international experience in hotel management, brings a proven track record in executive leadership and service excellence to the role.
Mähönen joins The Hotel Maria after serving as Managing Director (CEO) at Hotel Haikko Manor & Spa for more than 12 years, during which time he led the property to become one of Finland’s most sought-after destinations.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mähönen has held senior roles in his native Finland and across Europe, including General Manager, Country Manager, and Regional Director with the Reval Hotels Group in the Baltics, and as General Manager of Radisson Blu Olümpia Hotel in Estonia.
His extensive background with major international hotel chains such as InterContinental and Scandic Hotels has shaped his expertise in operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction.

Additionally, he is a proud member of the Cornell University alumni network. Mähönen holds an Executive MBA from Haaga University of Applied Sciences and has completed the prestigious General Managers Program at Cornell University.
