As inflation continues to surge, travelers are on the hunt for the best deals to stretch their budgets. Agoda, the digital travel platform, comes to the rescue by revealing the cheapest routes booked by travelers from ten Asia Pacific countries in early August.
According to Agoda, which offers over 130,000 flight routes, travelers from Thailand and the Philippines got the best domestic rates, with fares starting at just 8 USD. Malaysia was close behind, featuring a Kota Bharu to Kuala Lumpur flight for merely 9 USD.
In the regional category, Thailand and the Philippines share the third-place podium again with a 26 USD flight from Manila to Hong Kong and Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur. A flight from Medan, Indonesia to Penang, Malaysia takes second place at just 20 USD. The cheapest regional flight recorded was a 12 USD journey from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
For those looking to travel intercontinentally, Agoda listed the top three most affordable routes: Bali to Adelaide for 157 USD, Perth to Kuala Lumpur at 117 USD, and Delhi to Dubai at a remarkable 90 USD.
Agoda’s country directors from respective markets collectively remarked, “It’s encouraging to see travelers finding such extraordinary flight deals on our platform. These deals reveal that there are genuine bargains to be uncovered if travelers are willing to be flexible regarding the carrier, route, and timing. Prices do fluctuate due to demand, but our goal is to provide the most competitive rates whether you are flying domestically, regionally, or across continents.”
