airBaltic Restarts Vienna–Tallinn Flights in March 2026

airBaltic will resume direct flights between Vienna and Tallinn starting 30 March 2026, re-establishing a key air link between Austria and Estonia after a five-year hiatus. The Latvian national airline will operate the route twice weekly using Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with departures scheduled for Mondays and Fridays.

This service marks the airline’s second destination from Vienna, alongside its long-running route to Riga. The move reflects growing demand for travel between Austria and the Baltic region, and is part of airBaltic’s strategy to expand its Central European network.

Statements from Airline and Airport

“Demand for our services continues to grow in Austria, and we are pleased to further strengthen our presence in Vienna with the launch of direct flights to Tallinn,” said Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic. “The new connection will support stronger business ties as well as leisure travel between the regions.”

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Flughafen Wien AG, added: “The resumption of direct flights to Tallinn sends out a strong signal highlighting our successful collaboration and the relevance of this flight connection. Tallinn is one of the most diverse destinations in Northern Europe and delights visitors thanks to its medieval charm, digital innovativeness and a high quality of life.”

airBaltic’s Regional Network and Growth

Headquartered in Riga, Latvia, airBaltic is the leading airline in the Baltic States and has been active at Vienna Airport since 2002. The airline currently serves over 80 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus, operating one of the youngest fleets in Europe with Airbus A220 aircraft.

The reintroduction of the Vienna–Tallinn service aligns with airBaltic’s continued efforts to expand its route network across Central and Eastern Europe. It also reflects the airline’s confidence in the long-term recovery and growth of regional air travel.
