Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is expanding its flight offerings for the 2025/26 winter season as passenger numbers continue to rise.
Eurowings, EasyJet, and Condor are adding new routes and increasing frequencies from late October 2025 to meet growing demand from both leisure and business travelers.
The new winter flight schedule, effective 26 October 2025, introduces connections to destinations in the Middle East, Africa, and Northern Europe. The announcement comes as BER handled nearly 2.5 million passengers in September 2025, up by around 24,000 compared to the same month last year, according to preliminary figures from the airport’s traffic report.
New Winter Routes from Eurowings, EasyJet, and Condor
Eurowings, a Lufthansa subsidiary, will launch a new nonstop route from Berlin to Abu Dhabi starting 3 November 2025, operating three times per week. The carrier is also expanding its existing service to Dubai to as many as 11 weekly flights. The airline said the new connections are designed to meet demand for both tourism and business travel between Germany and the Gulf region.
In addition to Middle East destinations, Eurowings is adding Marsa Alam in Egypt to its schedule. Starting 9 November 2025, a weekly Sunday flight will depart from BER at 7:10 a.m. and arrive in Marsa Alam at 1:00 p.m. The return flight will operate the same day, departing at 2:00 p.m. and landing in Berlin at 6:05 p.m., according to the airport.
Eurowings will also introduce a new route to Kittilä, Finland, beginning 31 January 2026. The weekly Saturday flight will continue through 21 March 2026, targeting winter sports enthusiasts and travelers seeking to view the Northern Lights. Departures from BER are scheduled for 2:20 p.m., arriving in Kittilä at 5:10 p.m., with return flights departing at 6:00 p.m. and arriving in Berlin at 8:50 p.m.
EasyJet is expanding its Berlin network with two new routes focused on city break travelers. The airline will begin twice-weekly flights to Seville on 27 October 2025, operating on Mondays and Fridays. From 7 November 2025, the carrier will also fly to London Southend, complementing existing connections to Gatwick and Luton airports. EasyJet’s routes to Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Malpensa will continue and increase in frequency, according to the airline.
Condor is also reinforcing its Berlin operations for the coming winter. The carrier plans to operate a second daily flight to Dubai and increase its Berlin–Frankfurt service to three flights per day to improve connections to its long-haul network. These enhancements are intended to provide travelers with greater flexibility and smoother transfers to international destinations.
Passenger Traffic Continues to Rise Despite September Cyber Incident
Berlin Brandenburg Airport recorded almost 2.5 million passengers in September 2025, about 24,000 more than the same month in 2024. Despite a cyber attack on 19 September targeting Collins Aerospace, a system partner involved in passenger and baggage handling, operations stabilized quickly. Nearly all scheduled flights were able to take place, according to airport authorities.
“Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of airport staff, ground handling service providers and airlines, almost all flights were able to take place,” said Berlin Brandenburg Airport in a statement. The incident therefore did not significantly affect traffic performance.
During the month, a total of 17,934 aircraft movements were recorded, only slightly below the 17,979 takeoffs and landings reported in September 2024. Cargo operations also grew, with more than 4,418 tonnes of freight handled — around 420 tonnes more than in the same period last year.
The latest data indicates sustained travel demand through Germany’s capital hub, with airlines responding by expanding capacity and introducing new long-haul and seasonal destinations. The 2025/26 winter schedule reflects BER’s ongoing effort to position itself as a key European gateway linking Northern and Central Europe with leisure and business destinations worldwide.
