Cathay Pacific Returns to Seattle with Non-Stop Flights from March 2026

Cathay Pacific will resume non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Seattle from 30 March 2026, restoring a key transpacific connection with five weekly return services.

The route marks the airline’s ninth North American passenger destination, further expanding the reach of its Hong Kong hub.

The service comes as the carrier continues to strengthen its presence in North America, including increased frequencies on its Hong Kong–Dallas-Fort Worth route, which will rise to daily from 26 October 2025.

Tickets for the new Seattle flights go on sale from 22 September 2025, with a limited promotional fare offered in Economy class.

Seattle Route Reinstated

The new non-stop service will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. From 30 March to 31 May 2026, flight CX852 will depart Hong Kong at 13:30 and arrive in Seattle at 10:10. The return service, CX853, will depart Seattle at 11:50 and land in Hong Kong at 16:45 the following day. Between 1 June and 15 September 2026, arrival and departure times will be adjusted slightly, with CX852 arriving in Seattle at 10:35 and CX853 departing at 12:15.

Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, said: “We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States. This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India.”

Seattle adds to Cathay Pacific’s North America schedule for summer 2026, which will exceed 110 weekly return flights across Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Promotional Fares and Customer Experience

To mark the launch, Cathay Pacific is offering special round-trip Economy fares starting from HK$5,060 for tickets booked between 22 September and 31 October 2025. The offer applies to departures between 30 March and 30 June 2026. Terms and conditions apply.

Customers traveling on the Seattle route will fly on Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring the airline’s award-winning cabins: fully flat beds in Business, spacious Premium Economy, and upgraded Economy seating. The airline’s inflight entertainment has been recognized by Skytrax as the best worldwide, complemented by menus developed with Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurants.

The resumption also expands options for cargo, with passenger belly space supplementing the nearly 40 weekly freighter flights Cathay Cargo plans to operate to North America at the peak of summer 2026.

North America Expansion

The airline continues to expand in the U.S. and Canada. The Dallas-Fort Worth route, introduced in April 2025, will increase from four to seven flights weekly by late October 2025. In Vancouver, Cathay Pacific is offering new Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, while in New York, it will open a flagship lounge of nearly 10,000 square feet at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 6 in 2026.

“Customers can immerse themselves in Seattle’s thriving tech scene, lush greenery and rich cultural offerings, while those travelling to Hong Kong and through our home hub can connect to more than 100 destinations around the world through the Cathay Group’s network,” said Lau.

The return of Seattle underscores Cathay Pacific’s strategy of reconnecting key transpacific markets while boosting global connectivity through Hong Kong. With five weekly services, the airline aims to meet rising demand for business and leisure travel between Asia and the U.S. West Coast.
