With its landing gear set firmly on Amsterdam soil, JetBlue has successfully stretched its wings across the Atlantic yet again.
Following the commencement of its services to London last year and Paris earlier this summer, the airline’s inaugural flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) took off today. Next on the horizon is the launch of a Boston to Amsterdam route, scheduled for September 20.
Disrupting the Transatlantic Air Travel Landscape
“By entering markets that have long suffered from high fares, we are altering the game,” said Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s Chief Executive Officer.
“We are pleased to offer our high-quality Mint and core services to customers traveling between the U.S. and Amsterdam, bringing in a fresh, customer-focused approach to transatlantic flying.”
A Sustainable Landing in Amsterdam
JetBlue’s arrival was welcomed by Ruud Sondag, President and CEO of Royal Schiphol Group. The airline’s choice of using the Airbus A321neo LR for this route was specifically highlighted for its contributions to sustainability and noise reduction efforts.
Unmatched In-flight Experiences
Operating daily, the flight utilizes JetBlue’s Airbus A321 Long Range aircraft, which hosts 24 redesigned Mint Suite seats and 114 core seats. The carrier aims to shatter preconceived notions about flying economy by offering luxurious experiences across all ticket classes.
Attractive Introductory Offers
To celebrate this transatlantic expansion, JetBlue has rolled out promotional fares for flights originating from both the United States and the Netherlands. U.S. travelers can seize fares starting at $499 for core services and $2,199 for the premium Mint suites. For those flying from the Netherlands, round-trip tickets start at €399 ($439) for core and €1,599 ($1,756) for Mint.

An Airport with Global Reach
Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, located a mere 10 miles from the city center, is a strategic addition to JetBlue’s growing network. With its high volume of international travelers, Schiphol offers JetBlue the opportunity to tap into an extensive customer base in Europe.
JetBlue’s Eco-Friendly Promise
JetBlue’s commitment to a sustainable future is reflected in its ambitious goals to cut per-seat emissions in half by 2035 and to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. The inaugural flight even used sustainable aviation fuel, a step toward the airline’s long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.
