Jewel Changi Airport: key highlights of this iconic lifestyle destination (Part 2)

Jewel features a range of sustainable design and green building practices, where cutting-edge engineering meets environmental stewardship.

Jewel’s iconic glass facade uses double-glazed, low-energy glass to minimise heat from the sun while allowing natural light to illuminate internal spaces and support the health of its greenery. This reduces heat gain and improves the energy efficiency of air-conditioning throughout the complex.

Jewel houses one of the largest indoor collections of plants in Singapore – more than 2,000 trees and palms, and over 100,000 shrubs covering about 21,000sqm of landscaped space throughout the complex. Beyond its beauty, the plants clean the air and moderate the climate, offering a cool escape from the urban heat.

The Canopy Park, located at the topmost level on the 5th level, spans 14,000 sqm, featuring a curated mix of play attractions integrated with the garden spaces. It offers a wide range of experiences for visitors.
