With football fever heating up across the globe for the year’s most anticipated tournament, Changi Airport Group (CAG) is bringing the game right to the heart of the airport with a new film, free match screenings, and airport-wide activities.
Featuring a line-up of Singapore’s national football players and a special cameo by local football legend Fandi Ahmad, the film is a celebration of community, national pride and the unifying power of sport. The video, Where The World Comes To Play, is published across Changi Airport’s social media channels, including YouTube here.
Familiar faces across iconic Changi Airport attractions
A young boy’s ordinary wait at Changi Airport turns extraordinary when a starstruck encounter with Hariss Harun, the captain of the Singapore national football team, kicks off an exhilarating football relay.
The action-packed film follows the ball as it is passed across iconic attractions in Changi Airport and Jewel, including the Jewel Rain Vortex, The Wonderfall, and Dreamscape. The video also features national team coach Gavin Lee, national football players Hariss Harun, Jacob Mahler, Kyoga Nakamura, Shawal Anuar, and Tyan Foong.
“Football is a universal language that brings people together, much like how Changi Airport and Jewel connect travellers from across the globe. This film is our celebration of the Singapore national team and the players who dedicate themselves to the sport. Their passion and talent deserve to be seen by the world, and we are proud to tell their story in a setting that is uniquely Changi,” said Kelvin Ng, CAG’s Vice President, Corporate & Marketing Communications.
