Spirit Airlines to fly Orlando - Charleston

Spirit Airlines to fly non-stop Orlando – Charleston

Direct access from Central Florida to the beautiful Appalachian Mountains will soon be one flight away. Beginning February 14, 2020, Spirit Airlines will fly a non-stop route between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia.

The year-round service will be offered three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“For the first time in nearly seven years, Orlando International will have direct non-stop service to Charleston, West Virginia,” says Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Spirit Airlines’ decision to add this new year-round service opens a previously unserved market for local business and recreational travelers.”

“We’re excited to bring new nonstop service to Orlando, connecting West Virginia to the Theme Park Capital of the World,” said John Kirby, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning. “Orlando International Airport is the preferred gateway to the attractions, and Spirit’s new flights will help more families save money on travel to spend more on their dream vacation.”

Charleston is the capital city of West Virginia and is located in the picturesque Kanawha Valley. With a metropolitan population of over 300,000, Charleston is home to a variety of sports, recreational and cultural events and is located within an overnight drive of half of the United States’ population and one-third of Canada’s population.
