Vietjet Air will be launching new flights connecting Hanoi to Prague starting 10 October 2026. The route will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays using Airbus A330 aircraft, featuring a technical stopover and crew change in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
This new route marks the low cost airline’s expansion into the European Union and opening convenient connections for passengers to more than 20 countries and territories across its network of 186 routes. Passengers can choose to fly Vietjet in Business and SkyBoss classes – Wings for Leaders, on this new route.

With a new-generation fleet, modern technology, and a continuously expanding network, Vietjet will soon operate many more routes to Europe, enabling passengers to conveniently connect between Europe, Australia, and Asia-Pacific to destinations across Vietnam and Thailand.”
Jiří Pos, CEO of Prague Airport, said: “Vietnam is the most significant market in the Southeast Asian region in terms of passenger numbers. In 2025, more than 75,000 people travelled between Prague and Hanoi in both directions. The new connection will make travel easier for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic and their families. At the same time, we expect growth in tourism and greater accessibility of Vietnam for Czech travellers. Equally important is the strengthening of trade relations between the Czech Republic and Vietnam.”
Prague is known as the “Golden City” or the “City of a Hundred Spires,” famous for its historic Gothic and Baroque architecture. Hanoi is a destination rich in Vietnamese cultural identity and a hub connecting international travellers to well-known cultural, historical, and natural heritage sites across Vietnam. Almaty (Kazakhstan) is notable for its striking natural scenery at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. The new route is expected to offer passengers a diverse experience throughout the journey.
Other new routes
Vietjet has announced its latest international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo, The route marks Vietjet’s first direct service between Vietnam and Sri Lanka and is expected to commence in August 2026 with four round-trip flights per week.
Vietjet will also operate a new direct route connecting Nha Trang to Singapore, scheduled to commence on December 11, 2026, with four round-trip flights per week. The airline currently operates four direct services linking Singapore with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Phu Quoc, offering more than 100 flights per week.
Also on 11 December, the airline will launch a new direct route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Cebu, one of the Philippines’ most important economic, tourism, and aviation hubs.
