Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat

Minor Hotels to Launch Ultra-Private Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat

Minor Hotels, a globally recognized hotel owner, operator, and investor, with a portfolio of 530 hotels and resorts in 56 countries, has announced the upcoming opening of the Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat, a new ultra-private luxury resort in the United Arab Emirates, set to launch in Q4 2023.

This sophisticated addition to Anantara’s growing Middle East portfolio is located in Ghantoot, a pristine enclave of coast situated approximately halfway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The 22-key luxury resort is designed to provide a unique boutique escape from the city, with the option for exclusive use buy-outs, making it a perfect getaway for those seeking privacy and luxury. It offers uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf, away from the towering skylines of the neighboring cities, and is conveniently a 25-minute drive from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport and a 35-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Reflecting the iconic buildings of its namesake island, the low-lying white buildings of Anantara Santorini blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, housing ultra-private accommodations with spacious interiors, sun-drenched terraces, and unspoiled sea views. The luxurious spaces are adorned with refined décor and soft, neutral furnishings, which continue throughout the resort.

Guests can indulge in relaxing moments on the resort’s private beach, an expansive outdoor pool overlooking the Gulf, and private screenings in the indoor cinema, complete with the option of late-night movies paired with custom gourmet cuisine. Bespoke spa treatments can be enjoyed in private beachside cabanas, and a 24-hour butler service ensures guests’ needs are met around the clock.

The culinary experiences at Anantara Santorini are set to be diverse and rich, featuring an elegant restaurant dedicated to the heritage of the region and an ocean-side restaurant serving delicacies from Greece. The evenings are complemented by a bar serving creative cocktails until late, with a DJ setting an ambient mood.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, expressed his excitement about this new addition, emphasizing its fantastic location and the exceptional facilities it offers for full buy-outs, especially for those seeking an intimate boutique experience unique to the UAE.

With this new venture, Minor Hotels continues its expansion in the Middle East, reinforcing its presence with a total of 26 properties across five different brands in the region, and a strong pipeline across multiple brands including future properties in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
