IBTM World 2023

Barcelona Awaits as IBTM World 2023 Exhibitor Spaces Near Sell-Out

IBTM World, the premier event for the global business events sector, has reported a remarkable 85% of its exhibiting space already sold for this year’s event, outpacing both last year and 2019’s figures. Scheduled to take place in Fira, Barcelona on November 28th, the event has seen a significant increase in participation from various destinations, some of which are marking their return post-pandemic.

The Americas, particularly Mexico, Costa Rica, and Los Angeles, have marked their return since 2019. Asia will witness Jakarta’s debut, and the re-entry of Hong Kong and Macao, signifying confidence in the Greater Bay Area. The MENA region showcases increased participation from Jordan, Morocco, and Abu Dhabi. Notably, Morocco has also invested in sponsorship, promising to bring their signature hospitality to the Hosted Buyer Lounge.

European representation is robust with Antwerp expanding its presence, France and Paris promoting the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games, and London launching a new campaign. The hotel sector is also set to make a significant mark with brands like Hilton, Choice Hotels International, H10 Hotels, and Melia Hotels International confirming their participation.

Vasyl Zhygalo, the Portfolio Director of IBTM World, expressed enthusiasm about the event’s resurgence in exhibitor numbers. He emphasized the event’s role in fostering connections and community within the business events sector. The diverse exhibitor participation not only offers more business opportunities but also reflects the sector’s resilience. Zhygalo concluded with anticipation for the upcoming event, where attendees will converge to shape the future of business events.

Visitor and press registration is now open.

Visitor Buyers will this year have the chance to access the matchmaking platform before the show, but they must register before October 31st to be eligible.
