IAPCO and Meet Boston Join Forces to Attract Global Congresses

The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) has officially partnered with Meet Boston, setting a new milestone in its North American engagements.

Through this alliance, Boston is now recognized as IAPCO’s exclusive Destination Partner in the United States, highlighting the city’s appeal and facilities on an international stage.

Meet Boston, previously known as The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, serves as the leading marketing and visitor services entity for the Greater Boston area.

With a mission to enhance the economy of Boston, Cambridge, and the metropolitan area, Meet Boston is dedicated to showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of the destination to a global audience.

“We are thrilled to welcome Meet Boston as our newest Destination Partner,” said Mr. Nicola Testai, Chair of the IAPCO Commercial and Strategic Partnership Committee.

“Boston’s rich history, world-class facilities and vibrant cultural scene make it an ideal location for international meetings and events. This partnership aligns with our mission to provide our members with access to top-tier destinations worldwide.”

Under this new partnership, Meet Boston will engage directly with IAPCO’s extensive network, promoting Boston as a leading choice for hosting international conferences, conventions, and corporate gatherings. This initiative is expected to utilize Meet Boston’s deep knowledge in marketing and destination management to provide exceptional support and experiences for event organizers and attendees alike.

“Being a part of IAPCO provides Meet Boston with the opportunity to have brand exposure and engagement with members and the wider global meetings industry community,” said Martha Sheridan, President and CEO of Meet Boston.

This partnership will provide us with business development opportunities from the international meetings market – which is so important to our destination with our 60 non-stop international routes coming into Boston from around the globe. We’re looking forward to engaging with IAPCO and its members.”

The partnership with Meet Boston complements IAPCO’s existing destination partnership in North America with Toronto, further strengthening the association’s presence on the continent. IAPCO members can now benefit from enhanced resources, insights and support when planning events in two of North America’s most dynamic and sought-after destinations.
