Pegasus Airlines, Türkiye’s premier low-cost airline, has forged a collaboration with Norway’s climate tech firm, CHOOOSE. This partnership, a significant move towards sustainable aviation, allows travellers to assess the carbon footprint of their flights and support environmentally sound initiatives.

Upon booking a flight with Pegasus Airlines, travellers can navigate to to calculate the carbon ramifications of their journey. More than just gauging impact, the platform enables passengers to support globally verified climate solutions, reflecting a broader commitment to ecological responsibility.

Güliz Öztürk, the CEO of Pegasus Airlines, expressed the airline’s staunch commitment to green aviation. “As we continue our journey towards achieving sustainability, we’re ecstatic about this new venture with CHOOOSE. We have set our eyes on achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with an interim target of a 20% reduction in carbon emissions per revenue passenger kilometres by 2030 from 2019 levels. It’s essential to offer our passengers options to be part of this green journey, and we believe in the power of collective action for climate conservation. Our alliance with CHOOOSE will further enable us to engage with our clientele regarding our eco-friendly initiatives,” Öztürk stated.
