IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality industry, is significantly expanding its presence in Türkiye with the addition of six new hotels across six different cities.

This move highlights IHG’s commitment to sustainable growth in Europe and reflects the diverse appeal of its brand portfolio.

Willemijn Geels, VP of Development Europe at IHG, expressed optimism about the Turkish market, citing a strong demand from both domestic and international travelers. She emphasized the confidence of their owners in IHG’s brands and the positive outlook for the hospitality and travel sector in Türkiye.

The expansion includes properties from five of IHG’s brands: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Holiday Inn Resort. Each property is strategically located to cater to a mix of business and leisure travelers, showcasing the versatility and appeal of IHG’s offerings.

The Essentials segment sees the opening of Holiday Inn Mersin, IHG’s first hotel in Mersin city, expected to launch in late 2026. This 95-room property, a collaboration with Koknar Turizm San. ve Tic. LTD Sti., will be part of a new financial development, close to the city center and with easy access to the seaside. Another addition is Holiday Inn Express Istanbul Arnavutkoy, set to open in late 2025 near Istanbul International Airport. This 64-room hotel, a partnership with Firatim Insaat Gayrimenkul San. The Luxury & Lifestyle segment is further strengthened with the upcoming InterContinental Bursa.
