This new Champagne cuvée, crafted collaboratively by the Pitt, Perrin, and Péters families, has secured a coveted spot in the TOP 100 of 2023, as announced by the US Magazine Wine Spectator. This accolade places ‘PETITE FLEUR’ amongst the most exciting wines in the world for 2023, a significant recognition for the sole Champagne house featured in this prestigious list.
Fleur de Miraval, unique in its dedication exclusively to Rosé Champagne, has built upon the success of its previous ‘Exclusively Rosé’ limited editions. ‘PETITE FLEUR’, much like its predecessors, benefits from the same expert craftsmanship and high standards. However, it sets itself apart as a more classic and accessible version of rosé champagne. Originating from the renowned chalk terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, ‘PETITE FLEUR’ is characterized by its chalky texture and salinity, hallmarks of the Fleur de Miraval style.
Alison Napjus of Wine Spectator lauded ‘PETITE FLEUR’, describing it as “An elegant Champagne, offering a fine, lacy mousse and lively but still delicate frame of acidity for notes of apricot and wild cherry fruit, grated ginger, and pink grapefruit zest.” She further notes the complexity added by “an underpinning of toasted nuts, smoke, and chalk,” attributing these qualities to the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot noir.
