Enterprise Holdings’ FY23 Success

Enterprise Holdings, a renowned global leader in the mobility sector, has reported a remarkable year, showcasing strong results across its diverse business lines, significant international growth, and earning global accolades for its unwavering commitment to both customers and team members.

This impressive performance underscores the company’s dedication to shaping the future of mobility and solidifying its position in the market.

With a vast integrated network of subsidiaries and franchisees, Enterprise Holdings operates nearly 9,500 fully staffed locations at neighborhoods and airports in over 90 countries and territories worldwide. This extensive reach is a testament to the company’s global influence and its ability to cater to a wide array of mobility needs.

In fiscal year 2023 (FY23), the company made substantial investments to expand its international presence and diversify its mobility services. This strategic move resulted in a robust portfolio of mobility options, including car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, flexible vehicle hire, vanpooling, retail car sales, and more. These efforts culminated in a record-breaking $35 billion in revenue for Enterprise Holdings and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management (EFM).

Chrissy Taylor, President & CEO of Enterprise Holdings, highlighted the increasing trend of customers utilizing multiple business lines to meet their diverse mobility needs across the globe. “As the mobility sector evolves, we are committed to investing in our diverse lines of business, enhancing customer experiences, and exploring new markets to address the growing demands of our customers,” Taylor stated.

The company’s international performance was particularly strong, with corporate-owned affiliates in Europe, including the U.K., France, Germany, Ireland, and Spain, achieving their most successful years to date. The fleet size in Europe saw a 21% increase year over year, and new franchisee partnerships were established to extend the company’s reach to Chile, Morocco, South Africa, and South Korea.

Enterprise Holdings also witnessed significant growth in its contracted business, including B2B accounts and insurance replacement, which accounted for the majority of its rental days in FY23. The company’s total global workforce saw an increase of over 10,000, bringing the total to more than 90,000 employees. This growth and commitment to its team members were recognized with the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA), placing Enterprise Holdings among the most engaged workplace cultures worldwide.

Investments in innovation to enhance customer experience have been a focal point for Enterprise Holdings. In FY23, the company introduced initiatives to reduce friction in the rental journey, invested in SmartAssist™ and ARMS® technology enhancements, added over 525,000 connected cars to its fleet, and developed a comprehensive electric vehicle strategy. These efforts aim to provide flexible, customized, and on-demand customer experiences while building a robust EV infrastructure and investing in new mobility solutions.

Enterprise Holdings’ commitment to community giving remained strong, with over $84 million donated to charitable organizations worldwide in FY23. The company also continued its ROAD Forward initiative, awarding more than $7 million in grants to over 600 local nonprofit organizations for the third consecutive year.

Through strategic investments, a commitment to innovation, and a dedication to community and customer service, Enterprise Holdings is confidently steering the future of mobility towards a brighter, more connected, and sustainable future.
