Italy’s major water parks are reopening early for summer 2026, with several sites opening from 30 May to catch rising temperatures and the start of the holiday season. The line-up includes tropical-style beaches, high-speed slides, foam parties and family areas across Veneto, Lombardy and Lazio.
Among the parks welcoming visitors first are Caribe Bay in Jesolo, Acquaworld in Concorezzo, MagicSplash at MagicLand in Valmontone, Aqua World at Cinecitta World in Rome and LEGOLAND Water Park Gardaland on Lake Garda. Operators are aiming to draw both families and thrill-seekers with new attractions, expanded food options and longer weekends around the 2 June holiday.
The early openings reflect strong demand for cool-down attractions as parts of Italy already see summer-like temperatures. Several parks say they are adding new features for 2026, including more slides, live shows, themed play areas and accessibility services.
Caribe Bay, in Jesolo, says it will restart its season on Saturday 30 May. The park has been named Italy’s best water park 15 times at the Parksmania Awards, and it is promoting a mix of white-sand relaxation and adrenaline rides.
Its best-known attraction remains Captain Spacemaker, described by the park as Europe’s highest slide. This season, the admission ticket also includes access to Caribbean Golf, a 24-hole pirate-themed mini-golf course inside the park.
Visitors will also be able to watch four live shows a day featuring acrobats and international performers. Caribe Bay says it is becoming a smoke-free park, with smoking limited to designated areas.
Acquaworld, near Milan, is also reopening its outdoor section on 30 May. The park, which says it is Italy’s only water park open all year, is bringing back Tiki Bay and Blue Paradise for the summer season.
The site is offering white-sand beaches, Balinese cabanas, a lagoon and slides at the Maki Maki Tower. To mark its 15th anniversary, the park is expanding its food offering with 11 dining points and is bringing back its picnic-style lunch option until 7 September.
At MagicLand in Valmontone, the long weekend from 30 May to 2 June marks both the park’s 15th anniversary and the reopening of MagicSplash, its 40,000 sq m Caribbean-themed water park. The 2026 season begins with four new slides, each 15 metres high.
MagicSplash also includes Playa del Sol, a beach area with sand that stays cool underfoot, and a large wave pool. The complex says it also offers a wellness area and a quiet room for visitors with autism.
At Cinecitta World, Aqua World reopens on Saturday 30 May with an island-style setting on the edge of Rome. The park combines golden beaches, water play areas and shaded relaxation spaces with zones reserved for guests seeking extra comfort.
For thrill-seekers, the park features the Vortex and Boomerang slides, while the Cinepiscina remains a central attraction. Music, live entertainment and weekend foam parties are also part of the summer programme.
LEGOLAND Water Park Gardaland on Lake Garda reopens on 30 May ahead of the 2 June holiday. It is the first and only LEGO-themed water park in Europe, and it is targeting families looking for a short break by the lake.
Visitors can customise their raft with LEGO bricks before floating along LEGO River Adventure, which passes through Miniland, where famous Italian landmarks are recreated at a scale of 1:20. Other attractions include Jungle Adventures, Beach Party with surprise water dumps, and LEGO Creation Island, where children can build their own boats.
The early openings underline how Italy’s water parks are using the start of summer to pull in domestic travellers and short-break visitors. With new rides, themed zones and family-friendly services, the parks are positioning themselves as a major part of the seasonal travel market.
