Switzerland Tourism has launched its latest international campaign featuring tennis legend Roger Federer and Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry.
The short film, titled “Beautiful Autumn,” showcases the country’s landscapes during the fall season and is aimed at boosting Switzerland’s appeal to global travelers.
The campaign was released in early September and directed by German-Swiss filmmaker Marc Forster. It combines lighthearted scenes of Berry delaying production to enjoy the scenery with images of Swiss cultural and natural attractions, including hikes through colorful forests, lake crossings, mountain railways and traditional fondue meals.
Promoting Switzerland’s Autumn Travel
Switzerland Tourism said the campaign highlights the country’s strengths as a fall destination, offering a mix of scenery, culture and food.
Locations featured in the film include the Lake Lucerne region, vintage postbuses, and alpine landscapes, presented as part of a narrative where Berry encourages Federer to extend their stay to enjoy the season’s atmosphere.
The film follows earlier collaborations between Federer and Switzerland Tourism, part of a multi-year agreement that began in 2021.
Previous campaigns included appearances with comedian Trevor Noah and other international personalities.
The new partnership with Berry extends the reach of the initiative to new audiences.
Target Markets and Travel Offers
According to Switzerland Tourism, the campaign will run in priority international markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
The promotional effort includes discounts on the Swiss Travel Pass, which provides unlimited first-class travel on the country’s public transport network for international visitors.
Switzerland Tourism also cited rising demand for fall travel. Hotel overnight stays in Switzerland between September and November increased by 10.3 percent from 2019 to 2024, outpacing the 7.1 percent growth in overall travel during the same period.
The organization stated that autumn tourism is becoming increasingly crucial for balancing seasonal demand throughout the year. The new “Beautiful Autumn” campaign aims to position Switzerland as an all-season destination by capitalizing on the country’s natural scenery and cultural offerings.
Officials added that the collaboration with Federer and Berry is designed to capture global attention while reinforcing Switzerland’s image as a premium travel destination. The short film is being promoted through online platforms, television and social media channels in target markets worldwide.
