AccorHotels announced the opening of the first Sofitel branded property in Mexico: Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. Located on Paseo de la Reforma, one of the most iconic avenues worldwide, the hotel is the first luxury hotel to open in Mexico City in more than a decade.
Sofitel Mexico City Reforma invites travelers to experience brand’s unique French and Mexican essence. The hotel features 275 luxurious guestrooms, two elegant dining experiences and three bars, a Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and indoor pool, and over 7,000 square feet of meetings and events space.
“We are honored to celebrate the continued growth of Accor’s luxury and lifestyle brands in North & Central America with the official opening of the first Sofitel in Mexico, Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. The newest Sofitel is a striking flagship for the brand, a one-of-a-kind destination in Mexico City that will undoubtedly charm the most discerning luxury travelers and chic locals,” said Heather McCrory, CEO of Accor North & Central America.
Situated on Paseo de la Reforma, and neighboring the emblematic Angel of Independence monument, guests experience a grand arrival upon entering Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. At the base of the hotel sits a restored house originally built in 1983; the historic structure was incorporated into the modern design of the 40-story building in order to preserve the city’s architecture and history, resulting in a dramatic and striking exterior built upon both contemporary and classic architecture and design styles.
Designed to maximize functionality without compromising luxury and ultimate comfort, guestrooms have thoughtful amenities such as bath products by French brand L’Occitane, Nespresso coffee machines and an extensive pillow menu, as well as intuitive technology from Bluetooth connectivity to automated window curtains.
The Club Millésime Lounge, Sofitel’s private sanctuary on the 36th floor, is reserved for guests staying in Club Millésime guestrooms. Club Millésime offers the ultimate in luxury and exclusivity with a French flair, featuring an array of personalized services including private check-in, dedicated concierge service, and access to other special touches such as bath amenities by the exclusive French brand Hèrmes.
Sofitel Mexico City Reforma will be home to the first L’Occitane Spa within a hotel in Mexico. The Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane will feature exclusive treatments, including stimulating body massages and rejuvenating facial treatments, especially designed with music and fragrances to create an all-encompassing holistic experience. An indoor swimming pool surrounded by spectacular living green walls, is located on the 38th floor, as well as a 24-hour fitness center complete with top-of-the-line equipment.
